Team (Project) Introduction 
The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers.  Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications as well as enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics.  
 
9th Way Insignia is looking for a Developer with experience and expertise in OBIEE to join this team.  This position is contingent upon award from the government. 
 
Professional Level Information: 
An Engineer 2, has a good understanding of the software development life cycle and can take on work without much direction the majority of the time. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer 2 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems.  An Engineer 2 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. 

 
 
Functional Job (LCAT) Information: 

An OBIEE Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary. 

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Produce and maintain reports within OBIEE. 

  • Structure data in OBIEE. 

  • Participates in the OBIEE system design, modernization, and innovative development efforts. 

  • Participates in team calls and meetings. 

  • Provides accurate and timely status reports on the progress of assigned tasks. 

  • Coaches and mentors lesser experienced junior developers. 

  • Creates and maintains Documentation on OBIEE processes and procedures and participates in periodic reviews of existing processes.  

 

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Some SAS server experience (would like to have but not necessary). 

  •  Exp with making OBIEE reports 508 compliant (would like to have). 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, an additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree.  

  • 8+ years' experience in Oracle BI reporting products, especially OBIEE and data warehousing BI solutions. 

  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. 

 
Salary Range: 
The salary range for this position is $94,990 – $99,500
